AYUMI x 3

28 04 2009

A few weeks ago, Ayumi Shinn dropped a review item on the SL Bloggers Network in world, a cleavage enhancer that she designed and is selling in her store.  I’d never heard of her store, [AYUMI], before so I decided to go check it out.  She has some really cute stuff, but my favorite was the Button Up Shirt with it’s plunging necklace and thick belt underneath the bust line.  It comes in five colors, and she’s selling them for 150L each, or 250L for the fatpack.  Never one to pass up a deal, I grabbed the fatpack and decided to see what kind of looks I could throw together using this daringly sexy shirt.

Simply Fabulous

7 04 2009

I’ve always thought that Nicky Ree was one of the more talented designers in SL.  I’ve photographed a few of her dresses, and they are quite well done.  The textures are always lovely, and the movement is fun to capture in photos.  However, I’ve never really bought any of her designs before.  While well done, most of them are not usually my personal style.  And some of the more grandiose designs tend to be a bit out of my budget, though if I saw something I fell in love with that totally would not stop me.  I think the main reason I don’t shop there is because her store layout drives me utterly mad.  I can’t stand it for five minutes, usually, without getting angry.   However, last night I braved the madness to go check out the newest release from Designing Nicky Ree: Water Nymph Adrie.

Fashionable Relay Challenge

27 02 2009

relay_007-copy4

It’s my turn to take the virtual baton in the Fashionable Relay, and I couldn’t be more excited! What better way to kick off my new blog than by participating in this fun challenge that the lovely Sasy Scarborough organized?

I grabbed the virtual baton from SarahTheRed Aurbierre over at What? Another fashion blog? who threw it to me after creating a fabulous outfit. She looked fantastic in a little edgy mix and match that I’d absolutely wear while hopping around the grid. In fact, I wanted to use several of the items she chose, but alas I am limited to one. In the end, I chose the one item she used that I already had in my inventory, The Jules skirt by Maitreya.

Digital Egyptian

7 02 2009

Digital Alchemy opened today, and the first thing I did upon signing in tonight was tp over there and check it out. I wanted to see the Runway show, but daytime events are almost impossible for me to attend during the week. I was impressed by the wide variety of special items available; items the designers created specifically for this Egyptian themed event.
I love Egyptian mythology and art, so I expected to find at least one thing I liked here, and when I came upon the Eternal Nefartari dress by Shai Delacroix of Casa del Shai, I knew I’d have to buy it. The only decision was color, and I finally settled on the beautifully Egypitan Blue and Gold version.

Alpha Femmes

19 01 2009

Last month, Yelmer Pfeffer of Alphamale released the anxiously awaited first item in the new women’s collection. The Femme shirt is a masterpiece, but I would expect nothing less from the extrodinairy designer of Alphamale.
Available in 17 colors, the Femme shirt is sleek and sophisticated with a gorgeously rich texture that you can’t help but drool over. And the fit is perfect. It’s incredibly flattering, fitting to the curves of a woman’s body about as perfectly as a shirt can. It’s undenieably sexy, yet powerful as well. And call me lazy, but I absolutely love it when I put on a shirt and all the prim pieces fit right where they are suppossed to fit and this shirt does it. I could kiss Yelmer for that..but I won’t. 🙂
