Be Seen.

19 11 2009

Whether you’re walking the red carpet or attending a grand ball, wearing the most fabulous dress is a necessity.  And for this month’s MDR Anniversary Party, we’re rolling out the red carpet with the help of one of my favorite dress designers:  Sascha Frangilli of Sascha’s Designs.

I’ve blogged about Sascha’s wonderful designs before (here and here, to be exact) and I’m thrilled that she agreed to be our Affiliate of the Month for Novemeber.  Sascha has graciously provided us with one of her fabulous designs to give away to all of our guests for FREE.  I thought I’d show you that lovely dress, and two more of my favorites by this very talented and versatile dress designer.  First up is my newest purchase, Trouble.

Strange As Angels

13 11 2009

Though there are all sorts of fun items for sale there, I’ve long considered Balderdash to be one of the best jewelry stores on the grid.  Saiyge Lotus makes unique and beautiful pieces of wearable art and it’s obvious she puts a little bit of herself into each creation.  Her latest set is called Strange As Angels and it is really quite lovely.  Saiyge was kind enough to gift me with this necklace and earring set in all of its colors, and I knew that I had to put some outfits together to showcase the versatility of this wonderful design.  For the first look, I decided to channel my business partner and go purple but with my own urban flare, of course.

Can You Survive The Pyramid of Death?

31 10 2009

Looking for something fun to do on Halloween?  There are several fabulous Halloween-themed builds out there on the grid, but I wanted to show you one you may not have heard of yet: The Mysterious Pyramid of Death.  The lovely ladies at Reasonable Desire have put up a really fun and interactive build that’s perfect for a Halloween date night or hanging out with a group of friends.  And speaking of Reasonable Desires, if you’re still looking for a ready-to-wear costume this is the place to go.  They have an amazing array of fun costumes from the sexy bubbles costume to the historical pilot Amelia.  As a bonus, if you make it out of the pyramid alive, you’ll recieve one of their costumes as a free gift.  But getting it won’t be as easy as you think.

Surprise! It’s Halloween!

31 10 2009

**Edited to fix the Surprise! slurl**

Happy Halloween!  It is the most important day of the year (for me, anyway) and also my favorite holiday all rolled into one.  But, alas, I know there are some of you still looking for that perfect costume.  If you’re in the market for a ready-to-wear witch costume, Lara Aridian of Surpise! has made a fantastic one.

Witches don’t always have to be dark and sexy.  Sometimes, witches are just cute and sassy (w/a hint of sexy), and that’s what this first costume by Surprise! is.

Review: PACADI Jasha

31 10 2009

PACADI Jasha reopened this week with their new fall collection and a new build. I must admit that I’d never heard of the store before a notice announcing the Fall Collection went out to the iheartsl blogger’s group this past weekend.  I decided to check it out while I had a bit of free time and was pleasantly surprised to find both Lotta Shelman and Julia Tower there as I looked around.  They were putting a few finishing touches out for the reopening, and I really enjoyed their new space.  Things are organized into different buildings, so finding what you’re looking is fairly easy.  Lotta and Julia, co-owners of the PACADI Jasha brand and the designers behind the fantastic clothing and jewelry, were kind enough to gift me with some review copies of the things that I liked.  I’ll show you some of what I picked out.

The first thing I had to have with this Striped Long Sleeve shirt in blue.
